After a bad 0-0 draw against Venezuela, Brazil arrives in the final group stage game needing at least another tie against Peru to secure the top spot thanks to goal difference. However, not winning is not an option for the Seleção after two bad performances against questionable opponents. The entire country is expecting a very good game and a strong victory from the favorites. Manager Tite is expected to make one or two lineup changes to freshen up the squad with the hope that the alterations bring more attacking flair to a team that is sorely lacking it.
It won’t be easy. Peru had two very good games against Venezuela and Bolivia, earning four points, but deserving all six thanks to a strong defense and an entertaining attack. Christian Cueva, Jefferson Farfán and Paolo Guerrero have been as good as advertised and the trio can definitely cause issues to a Brazil defense that is yet to be tested.
This promises to be a fantastic game with first place up for grabs in what is a must-see Copa América match.
